$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Seniors:
If you haven't already, check out the financial aid/scholarships tab within this blog site.  It containts lots of valuable information about how to make college more affordable.
I encourage you to inquire about the freshmen scholarship process at the colleges you are looking into for next year. Most colleges outline this process fairly well at their websites. This is a great time to get in touch with any or all of the following people: admissions counselors, academic advisors, financial aid counselors.  They can be a terrific source of information and they should be able to give you the details of how to best navigate the financial aid process at their schools.  For some colleges, scholarship deadlines are quickly approaching for fall of 2015 freshmen.  GET TO IT!!!!!
I will plan to talk with you about our local scholarships and the application process around the end of February.
Lastly, mark your calendars and plan to attend the OHS Financial Aid Planning night scheduled for Thursday, January 8th at 5:00 pm in the OHS auditorium. This will be a great opportunity for you to learn all about FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) process and get your questions answered.
